The Brief
UMC America wanted an interactive Christmas card for December 2016 to bring some festive fun to their online community, delivered against the one deadline that can't move: it had to be ready before Christmas.
Our Approach
We built it in Construct 2, letting users decorate a snowman with drag-and-drop controls, add sound effects, and capture snapshots with a built-in camera tool to share a personalised holiday greeting. A seasonal piece like this lives or dies on a hard, fixed ship date, there's no pushing a Christmas card to January, so the scope was kept tight enough to build, test, and polish within the time available rather than risk missing the date entirely. The controls also had to be obvious on first load, because most visitors would only spend a short moment with the card before sharing it or moving on.
The snapshot feature made the project feel personal without turning it into a large account-based product. Visitors could decorate, capture, and share the result in one short session, which matched the campaign goal better than a deeper game loop would have.
The Outcome
We delivered the interactive card on time for the 2016 holiday season, giving UMC America a light-hearted, shareable experience that let their online community create and pass around their own personalised holiday greetings.
