Block Gun 3D: Call of Destiny is a futuristic first-person shooter with campaign missions and multiplayer battles.
- Client
- Wizard Games
- Duration
- Jan 2014 - June 2015
- Engine
- Unity, C#
- Platforms
- Mobile
The Brief
Between 12 Jan 2014 and 23 Jul 2015, the same window we were also delivering multiplayer for Wizard Games' Block Gun 3D: Ghost Ops, Wizard Games brought us onto Call of Destiny for a related but distinct scope: the multiplayer system and the vehicle systems for a futuristic first-person shooter with its own campaign missions and multiplayer battles.
Our Approach
Using Unity for the game engine and physics simulation, C# for the gameplay logic, and Photon PUN for real-time multiplayer networking and matchmaking, we handled online connectivity, competitive multiplayer modes, and vehicle combat inside the same Unity-based FPS framework. Vehicle systems add a layer multiplayer FPS work doesn't always need: physics-driven movement and combat that has to stay synchronised across clients the same way player movement does, without the vehicle feeling disconnected from the on-foot combat around it.
Technologies Used for Block Gun 3D: Call of Destiny
- Unity for the game engine and physics simulation
- C# for high-performance game logic
- Photon PUN for real-time multiplayer networking and matchmaking
The Outcome
Call of Destiny shipped with working online multiplayer and vehicle combat layered into its campaign-driven FPS structure, developed alongside our other Block Gun 3D work for Wizard Games in the same engagement window.
